A Saudi-Brazilian investment for food manufacturing

Following President Jair Bolsonaro’s visit in October 2019, the Saudi Kingdom is working with Brazil as an international trading partner. The Brazilian giant BRF, controlled by Abilio Diniz until 2018 (he is also holding 8% of Carrefour Group) announced an investment project of US$120 million for a 1st manufacturing site in Saudi Arabia. With a manufacturing capacity of 50,000 tons, the factory will produce chicken, bread, marinated products and burgers.
