Amazon increases inventory capacity in the U.S.

“Amazon’s quest for same-day and one-day delivery quest means that product warehouses are moving closer and closer to customers”, said Andre Pharand, Global Managing Director Post & Parcel at Accenture during the Deliver conference in Lisbon. “In 1995, Amazon had only 1 warehouse in the U.S. This moved to 6 in 2005, followed by a massive rise in 2017, when they took over 458 Whole Foods stores, jumping to 787 facilities”.
