In Canada, current traffic in shopping streets has decreased compared to the period before the health crisis, moving down by up to 30%. “According to current projections across retailers and federations, at least 20% of home working will continue, i.e., one day a week,” said Jean-Baptiste Branquart, Vice-President of Retail at CGI. This means that consumer footfall should decrease by about 20% in some business districts and city centres.
