Central Retail from Thailand and Signa advance pawns in Austria

The KaDeWe brand will open a 4th department store in Vienna, Austria. This is due for the autumn of 2023 in the Mariahilfer Strasse over a sales area of 58,000 sq.m. The building is owned by the Signa Group from Austria and was formerly occupied by a Leiner furniture store. This major project is led by the Dutch architecture firm Office for Metropolitan Architecture. The design also includes a 1,000 sq.m rooftop with 150 hotel rooms. Controlled by Central Retail, Thailand’s largest retailer by sales, the KadeWe and La Rinascente chains are run by Mr. Vittorio Radice.
