Omnichannel and trade-focused concepts fuel D.I.Y. growth

In 2019, the British trade-focused retailer Toolstation (part of Travis Perkins retail group) posted total sales up by 26% via 400 stores. Like-for-like sales grew by 16%. In the U.K., the store network was expanded by 65 branches, including trials of smaller-format units in smaller customer catchment areas. Expansion into Europe is a growth driver. In December, Toolstation ran 66 international units in France, The Netherlands and Belgium.
