Young Saudis favour international retailers

Alkohair Fashion Retail is one of the leading franchise operators in Saudi Arabia. In 2018, they operated 1,750 stores across 13 countries. The firm represents over 75 brands such as Zara, Women’s Secret and Accessorize and plan to open 110 stores in the Kingdom this year. New stores will focus on the three largest cities, i.e. Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. According to the General Manager, Mr. Faisal Al-Jedai, young Saudi consumers are increasingly looking for international fashion brands, as proven by the success of the Zara store during Eid el-Fitr, a celebration marking the end of Ramadan.
